"After Tom got diagnosed I had this strange creeping. A haunting that followed me.
My brothers had severe problems. Both were diagnosed under 30. I had never experienced mental distress. I had never hard voices telling me to burn bibles or believed that I was Jesus Christ. But it felt known. Real. Like those things might be possible. Might only be a matter of time."

Mum eats at the table. She recognises the turkey and the carrots and the Brussels. The only thing she struggles with is the roast potato.
    "Shall I cut it Mum?"
    "What?"
    "The Potato."
Mum points at it with her fork. "Is that the potato?"
    "Yes."
I cut it up. Mum eats it. She finishes the pig in blanket. Her plate is cleared. Then Mum eats a Christmas pudding and cream.
Later, she falls asleep at the table. Sitting upright in her wheelchair. Her eyes slipping shut. It's the first time she's done that."

I’m called “Sir” as I put my belt and the contents’ of my pockets onto the Xray trays.
I pass through the bleeper and advance towards the pat down area. To avoid more confusion, I lift up my mask."

I'm a bit chaotic. I don't have spots or tits or periods yet. I'm not a fine example of femininity. But my best mate is."
